Time to catch up.

Welp! It has been quite a while since I have written on my little blog. Ooops. Life happens and then blogging just is at the very bottom of my list of things to do. So here I am, all caught up! So over the summer I had the chance to go to girls camp with my Young Women and it was great! Except for the fact that it rained for the first 3 days and there was snow... It was a lot of fun though.

My mom and dad were in charge of the over night hike and then my mom stayed to help in the kitchen. Look at the three of us, so cute with the same faces.

Here are some of my girls - all jumping!

Layton was very depressed when I left for girls camp. I got home and the onlything he ate every day was smoothies because that happens to be the only thing he knows how to make. He lost like 8 pounds while I was gone because no one fed him. Anyway, he became a mother when his moths hatched he was just so happy.

Here is the moth child that he released into the wild! wild = Hamblin's backyard.

Also there was a 24th of July parade! Ashton my little brother was in it and he looked so darn cute up there playing his drums

We sat with our best friends - Wendy and Dallas. They are the greatest and we love hanging out with them all the time.

I thought it was so funny when Layton laid out his clothes for the first day of school the night before. I totally used to do that. When I was 12.
This is Kaylie at Bountiful Music trying out a violin!

Also Layton and I were "Mommy and Daddy" for a weekend. We watched my friend Tia's kids, Kaylie, Connor, and Izzie while she and her husband were on vacation. They are the best kids ever and they were just so much fun!! BUT, this was definately an eye opener for both Layton and I ....announcement...we are NOT EVER having children. Way too much work.

I took them to Keva Juice to visit Layton and they were so excited to get a "Smoozie"

Connor and his mohawk - pretty amazing

Layton entered a rib eating contest and he lost. But I kissed him anyway

I'm married to this.

This is Layton's mission reunion - He was so excited to see all of his old mission companions and it was a fun time. Out of all the missionaries from his mission, Layton and I have been married the longest! Kinda crazy!

This is Layton and his "son" James who he trained on the mish.

MARRIED ONE YEAR! So we celebrated at our favorite restaurant call Red Iguana - The best mexican food I had ever tasted. Layton says it tastes "like home" so if you've been to Mexico and you need some grub that tastes like the real deal, go to Red Iguana in Salt Lake!

Dad's Birthday celebration!

Halloween! I was a witch and Layton was Luigi, although for some reason I never took a picture of his costume. The only one I have of him is when he decided to wear my wig...

....I am married to this.

So we went to a Halloween party and we had a pumpkin painting contest for couples, and Layton and I won! We had the smallest pumpkin and we decided to paint it like an angry bird...except it turned out to be an angry owl.

Ashton wearing the purple hair on Halloween - He could be my sister

And Emily Ann Barth wearing my purple wig - My dearest friend from my childhood. We did everything together and I am so glad that our friendship lives on. It will live forever.

The recent, fantastic events of my life

So much to catch up on!

Fathers Day ~ Layton and I made red velvet cupcakes to take to our dads. I made Layton wear an apron and he was so mad about it.

This is my cupcake tree! I bought it on my trip to St. George and I used it for Fathers Day! It was so cute!

Layton and I went and saw Civil War at Centerpointe Legacy Theatre. And no I wasn't in it. So many people have asked my why I didn't do the play, and it is simply because I didn't have any time for it. But we went and saw my friend Wendy! She had a big part and she did FANFREAKINGTASTIC!!!

Princess Tiana in the house! I participated in the Hope Kids charity event this year that was put together by Princess Parties and by Linsey (Cinderella). We had a big Princess Ball and all the Princesses came to greet all the little girls and boys who have spent a lot of time in hospitals with cancer and other illnesses. We were even on the news that night and it turned out so great! This in my new Tiana costume made out of my wedding dress and my boss from Bountiful Music, Lauri Powell, did the rest!
Me and Giselle from Enchanted

Ariel, Giselle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Sleeping Beauty, and Snow White. Also we had Cinderella, Rapunzel, Tinkerbell, The Fairy Godmother, Tiana (Me)....and I think thats everyone!

Layton and I at his friend Kyle Wilding's wedding

The Arts Festival in Salt Lake City! It was so much fun! Layton and I had free tickets that his buddie Andrew gave us, and Isaac tagged along with us for the day.

Weird instruments, guitars maybe?

Isaac loved these paintings so much, they were really funny!

Our new car, complete with a knitted car blanket

After the art festival, we headed to the gateway to watch Kung Fu Panda 2! What a great show!

Centerville Parade on July 2nd

Just waiting for the parade to start

I was getting ready to eat this delicious candy when Layton hit it out of my hand into the puddle in the gutter.... boo.

Ashton playing the snare drum in the parade! Hes so cute, my mom calls him "Sweetums"
Wendy and Dallas sitting with us at the parade!

All of our parade candy kept falling into the massive puddle in the gutter, anything that didn't spash in the puddle, the little children around us got. We got nothing. lame.

Waiting for the fireworks at eaglewood to being! We had amazing seats on the deck, by invitation only :) we had an invite to sit up there!

This is how excited Isaac is for the fireworks

This is how excited Layton is for the fireworks....

This is how excited my parents are for fireworks

This is how excited Kenya is for fireworks. Shes not.
