ANGRY BIRD FLU HAS STRICKEN THE ASMUS RESIDENCE! Actually I don't know what kind of sickness it is. Layton has been sick and afflicted the past couple days and he is really boring....and demanding. He is also very needy when he is ill. And I think I am getting sick.... Sick of being a black maid!!!!!
Hope you feel better soon Layton. But really.
Love your wife

No longer newlyweds.
The reason why this post is called "no longer newlyweds" is because of these red ribbons. They have been living on the back of our car, Lassie, since our wedding. There were a bunch of balloons and cans tied there so we just cut them off and left all this great sparkly ribbon there since October. We decided to keep it there until they just fell off. Layton said that when the ribbon fell off, we would no longer be newly weds. And I know you are wondering why all the newlywed ribbon is not on the car and this is why. I needed to drive the car to work (Bountiful Music) the other day, and while I was there, Jerry our repairman and owner of the store took the liberty to remove the ribbone and bring it to me while I was working inside the shop. I almost pooped when I saw the handful of torn ribbon in his old man hands. He left it on the desk in front of me and left. He could tell by the look on my face that I was upset so he brought me four different colors of new ribbon to put on the car. But it's not the same. I then sent Layton a text..."Jerry just pulled our newlywed ribbon off Lassie's butt" he replied with...."NOOOOO!". So it was a sad day. In fact, i'm still a little bit sad about it. But Jerry told me today that he would take Layton and I for a ride in his plane on the next sunny day!
You Can't Stop the Beat!
You can't stop the beat! ...Actually you can when the play is over. The play ended a couple Saturdays ago, it makes me sad, but I have my life back! I had two freak outs during the past couple weeks because I though I was late for a performace! Good times. Here are a couple things from closing night that I wanted to highlight.... Here we go
Wendy, Katie, and myself! They are my new buddies, Wendy is married and her husband Dallas is great, he and Layton get along and they now play basketball on Tuesday nights. We love our new interracial married friends!
This is Katie's baby that she used in the play in Goodmorning Baltimore. It will need surgery after this because it has been dropped, kicked, thrown, and even took a flight across stage. Of course none of this happened during the actual show, just backstage right before the curtains opened :)
And this.... is Layton wearing my Dynatime wig closing night, he brought me flowers and he wanted to try on my wig...and doesn't he look handsome!
Farewell HAIRSPRAY! I love all of you and I had so much fun! First show is Centerpoint Legacy Theatre, and it was FAN-FREAKIN-TASTIC!!! Go Meat!

This is a true story
Once upon a time, Natasha asked Layton what he was going to cook for dinner. He said steak. He cooked steak and it was AMAZING! Even our neighbors upstairs texted us and asked us what we were making. It was so great, and I hope that he will cook again soon :)
This is the whole meal that he made all by himself!

So this is Christmas
Our first Christmas together! I know it is a little bit late to be posting Christmas, but i'm trying to put up something for every month that Layton and I have been married. So now i'm on the Christmas part. So our little tree was so cute, but none of the presents fit under it. We had a fun Christmas morning opening presents and visiting both our families. Its great that we live close to both our families so we were able to spend Christmas with everyone. For Christmas I bought myself an Ohana Ukulele, and Layton gave me jeans, boots, a purse, and some cute things for the apartment. I gave Layton a rubik's sphere, shoes that he really wanted, pajamas, and a great leather jacket. We love Christmas!
This is me on Christmas morning waiting for Layton to give me some presents to open, I was so excited!

Monster Mash
For Halloween Layton and I decided to be Zombies! Mostly because we didn't plan anything until that afternoon so as a last minute attempt to celebrate this holiday, we ran to the DI to find some clothes to shred. We had a fun time getting our costumes and putting ugly paint on our faces - here are our finished costumes!

Dinosaur RAWR!
On our way to Lake Pineview for boating, we found this cute little dinosaur so we decided to pay him a visit. The sunglasses Layton is wearing are terrible. I'm so glad that they accidently broke one day. We went boating with the Young Single Adults, I think we were engaged at this point. Anyway, we had a great day and Layton sacrificed me many times so he could stay on the tube that was being pulled behind the boat. He only fell off once, and he happily pushed me off every other time so he could win. My arms were so sore by the end of the day, but it was really fun!

Beiber Fever?? ME???
So I think I might have a small case of Bieber Fever.....I know, this is bad. How do I get rid of this? I wake up to his voice in the morning when my phone goes off, I work at a music store and see his music everywhere, and my little sister Kenya is going to marry him so I need to learn to like my future brother-in-law right? Am I just making up lame excuses now? He's a talented little boy and he has some cute music out and he's just adorable! At least I haven't seen his movie.....yet.
~HAIRSPRAY~
I love being in the play with Kenya, she was the one who tried out for Hairspray in the first place. I went one day to pick her up from rehersals and I went inside the building to find her and the director wouldn't let me go home because they wanted me to be in the play. So I stayed and here I am, perfoming every night for a whole month and I didn't even try out. I'm THAT good. So I need to take a second and thank Kenya for trying out so I could have the chance to be in the play too! We have so much fun performing together. Now that i'm moved out I dont see her as much, but now we get to do something together that we both have fun with. It's been a great experience!

I'm in the cast of HAIRSPRAY at the new Centerpoint Legacy Theatre, it's been a blast! I am in both casts because I don't have a double, it's alot of performing so i'm just about ready to be done with it. Good thing it ends on Saturday. Anyway, i've made lots of new friends and I love everyone in the cast, and we love goofing off backstage :) Enjoy!
If you haven't or didn't get to see the play, it was freaking AMAZING! We are the first show in the new Rodgers Memorial Theatre. New stage, new building, new everything! The theatre is beautiful and it sits about 550 people compared to the 200 that the old theatre seated. So hopefully you all got to see it and if you didn't....you loose.
Amanda aka Penny, Wendy aka Dynamite, Natasha aka Dynamite...and Kenya aka Lil Inez hiding in the back messing up our gorgeous picture.
It's been a minute

It's been a minute or two since I posted on my blog, so I decided to start fresh. So much has happened since I last posted... college, new friends, new jobs, and dating...so I decided to get married to this cute kid! His name is Layton Asmus and we were married on October 1st, 2010. We are still madly in love even after five whole months. We are currently in Bountiful Utah both working and going to school. Layton is currently the manager of KevaJuice, a popular smoothie shop and I help manage Bountiful Music. Since we have been married Layton has put on almost 20 pounds and I have put on almost 5. We both love the warm weather but there hasn't been much of that lately so we love watching movies instead. Our favorite movie right now is MegaMind which came yesterday in the mail and we watched it last night! Anyway, we plan on living happily ever after the bills are paid :)
